Sattya World Animal Day Photo Contest (Theme: Street Animals)

In celebration of World Animal Day (October 4th), Sattya Media Arts Collective is holding its first photo contest.

First prize: Rs. 3,000 + Sattya membership for one year (worth Rs. 1,000) + publication in VENT! Zine (www.ventzine.com)

We are looking for photos that explore and document the lives of street animals in Nepal: dogs, cats, donkeys, horses, cows, goats, chickens, monkeys..... The best photos will be displayed both digitally and physically at Sattya Media Arts Collective's building in Jawalakhel, behind the zoo. They will also be projected in our screening room before the showing of a film about animals (exact film yet to be decided) on October 1st.

Instructions: 1. Take your photos! 2. Edit them! 3. Write a short piece about your photos - write about where you took the photo, why you took it, what you like about it, etc... 4. Send your text and photos in high-resolution (best resolution possible from your camera) to collective@sattya.org by September 20th 5.
