Hi Ajay,

Shey Phoksumdo Lake is nepal’s largest national park and includes the kanjiroba Himal, the famous Shey Monastery, the Phoksundo Lake and the Langu Gorge. This is a crystal-clear blue water lake and surrounded by mountain shapes, blue stable water etc. This is a very nice and coolest place to visit. In addition, to enjoy hassle free vacation, book your plan through online travel sites like yatra.com. This is the most simplest and affordable travel portal. Enjoy your trip to the fullest!!!

thanks

I will check this out too. After seeing your question I read about the two largest lakes and am now keen to visit them. Unfortunately I haven't time this trip to do the trek but I wonder can you fly in and do overnight stay? Anyone help.

Yatra.com is for India Travel... do you know any travel site for Nepal... Any if you have been to Shey... do you know how many days of walk it takes to reach the lake from Jhupal Airport or from Jumla airport... thanks buddy...!!!

The largest lake in Nepal is Rara Lake... I treked there in 2009... It sure is one of the most beautiful things i have ever done.... over night is pretty much useless if you want to recognise the beauty.... i recommend you to trek 4 days from Jhumla airport with a proper guide/potter... I have put up an article, i wrote about my trek to Rara lake... check out my page....!!!!

Thanks. I would like to but this trip do not have the time. Looks like I will just have to plan another trip back there sometime to do this. Read your article, thanks.
