Video of Bryan Adams in Kathmandu

If you are in Nepal and you didn't know Bryan Adams was here last week then you must be living under a rock. The hype surrounding his tour at Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu has been huge. Luckily, those who could afford the tickets, said he was worth every rupee.

Many people filled the Tribhuvan International Airport car park, waiting hours for the star to arrive.

The Canadian star opened his…

Today Patan Durbar square was a scene of confusion and excitement as the surprise Kathmandu Pillow fight of 2011 took place.

Around twenty people, mostly students, participated in a seemly spontaneous pillow fight, revealing cushions and taking aim a little after 4pm.

They had however made good, by arranging a room at th…

20 day countdown and my adventure begins...

I am getting very excited (and a bit nervous) to board my LAX to KTM flight in 20 days... have spent the past few weeks trying to secure a place to live, secure my visa, getting all necessary gear and immunizations, as well as planning my first month of travel and sight seeing before I start working at the orphanage. I also recently found out that I have been recommended by the Institute of International Education for a Fulbright Grant to Nepal from the State Dept here, so there is a chance…
