The current exhibition is being held at the Park Gallery. “Disguised Harmony2” is an expirement in acrylic painting on canvases that depict the hidden shapes of the architectural forms of Kathmandu city.
Artist Vijaya Maharjan graduated in Fine Arts, 2007 from Center for Art and Design, Kathmandu University, Nepal. He has been showcasing his works since 2002 in Kathmandu and involved in various art projects and workshops. Currently he is associated with CAD, KU.
Vijaya is fascinated with those undefined shape, alleys, small and larger streets in Kathmandu. The Artist’s vistas of diagrammatic cityscapes against the monochromatic paints and the sky are evidently shown on his paintings. Balanced application of textured white paints saturate the next color.
